With a violent mob outside, Maggie makes a final attempt to seduce Brick, as does a dying Big Daddy, the bootlicker Big Mama and the maniacally millennial SisterWoman. When Brick realizes he’s being lied to, has always been lied to, by these “lying sons of lying bitches,” he first destroys himself, then finds a way out.
Filmed on location at The Connelly Theater in NYC’s East Village during the height of the Omicron variant, Mendacity compresses the 2020 election, Capitol insurrection and transition of power into a fiercest American political parable.
